In the kitchen, my Lola stands,
Her apron tied, her hands on pans,
The air filled with scents divine,
A symphony of flavors fine.
The sizzle of pork on the stove,
The aroma of garlic cloves,
The tangy vinegar and soy,
In a wok she deftly employs.
In the kitchen, my Lola reigns,
A culinary queen, no stains,
Her Filipino food is a delight,
A taste that lingers day and night.
She passes down tradition true,
A heritage that’s loved anew,
Her recipes are a family heirloom,
A reminder of home, a comforting room.
