My Friend, The Moon

The moon visits us every night.
We gaze up at her
From our windows
Or rooftops
With our friends
Or families
In our homes
Across the country
Or world.
She talks to me
As I speak to her.
She keeps me company
On the loneliest of nights
Wherever I go
She follows.
Even on the sunniest days,
She's there.
Speaking and listening
To someone else.
But still,
At the end of my night
She's there,
With me,
In the sky,
In all her beauty.
