bond before kin
I was eight when I first opened my eyes, for the first thing they layed upon, was once, my dog Fire. She was the greatest dog, for she had a heart of honey and the personality of a bear.
She always laid me and my other upon her stomach caring for us as if we were her own for our own did not treat us as such and therefore we had to replace thy mother with one that didn't have her own to care for.
And before we realized it, when we were grown enough to not need her anymore, while even on her bed she always only wanted our love.
