By Berry
As I read, the more I see.
I see the blessed and blessing trees
and see the vision around me.
As I read, the more I feel.
I feel the grace of the world
and I feel the flight around me
As I read, the more I hear.
I hear the peace of wild things
and the singing around me.
The bond that was created with the world,
felt unreal, like a scene from a fantasy book.
With the wilderness,
peace was created.
As I read, it became more pleasing.
I saw what we needed here,
and that was the presence of nature.
As I read, it became more comforting.
I feel the gentleness of each leaf on each tree.
As I read, it becomes more peaceful.
I hear the little bird hidden in the leaves,
who sings quietly and waits, and sings.
