Arcadia
The earthy aroma filled their sinuses
The rough texture felt like sandpaper as the pad of their finger glides along
The cover smooth the gloss finish glinting in the sunlight
The tranquility of this space occupied their ears
As nothing but the hushed whispers sifted through
Their bones creaked and popped as they adjusted themselves
The leather of the chair rubbed awkwardly against their legs
With the setting sun casting its heavenly glow
The flamingo pink and sorbet orange dispersing across the sky
The feeling of solace settles in
It’s like a breath of fresh air
Or the heat you get when you consume something warm
It leaves a lingering feeling
A feeling of Arcadia
