Lost
The moon glares down at me with a crimson haze,
I gaze back as I feel my bloodshot eyes pulsing,
My stomach churns as I feel the blood leave my body,
Dying the snow a dark red,
Its warmth driving me insane,
My chest pounds from it all,
The pain won't go away.
It won't stop.
The wind scratching my face like razors,
Screaming as it wisps by my ears,
I cry out back through the wind,
Wanting it all to end,
The pain won't go away,
It won't stop.
A night like none other,
My mind wanders while the world seems to slow down around me,
My pulse beginning to slow,
My body like a stone pillar for its time to fall,
The screaming stopped,
It's time to go, with no other sounds resonating through the air other than my slowed heart,
It all fades to black.
The pain is gone.
It's finally stopped.
For I'm lost.
