My Four Years

Walking in as a freshman with fear on my mind

Hope not to get lost or behind

Scared of the image of high school i hope they're kind

Need to stay self aware, focus, and grind

High school is stressful but some parts were alright

Surrounded by almost 1000 other kids on campus in sight

Some familiar and new faces that will excite

Maybe my high school experience will be bright

School was pretty fast paced, wished it slowed down

Until everything stopped when Corona came to town

Coming back with masks i sadly always had a frown

Dealing with issues that made me feel like i was going to drown

Reality hit and we learn from our mistakes

From the wrong paths we take

From the fake friends we make

And from the times we almost break

Pom poms in my hands throughout four years

Friday night lights loving the crowd cheers

Being thrown in the air by my girls without any fear

Competitions at night with nerves that appeared

Sports pressuring you to do your best

But you'll never know who you have to impress

including those random test

Now i'm a senior and can finally put my thoughts to rest

But now it's time that all of lives are going to changed

We can't be together anymore which will feel strange

No more notes or answers to exchange

Or laughter to adore and jokes that we can't explain

At an end of this chapter and finding my purpose is hard yes i know

It’s not the end since i got for more years to go

I hope it doesn't go fast because I'm scared to grow

But i'm excited to see how much i'll glow

Cycle restarts every September just with a different routine

New environment with a thousand new people i've never seen

Oh my what an advantage i love being a teen

Need to live it up to achieve the teenage dream
