Blank Screens and LEDs
A dull Saturday like any other
The clicks of a mouse and keyboard
In a slight harmony, together
As the screen lights up in flashy colors
Entangled by the internet
He communicates with strangers
And loudly laughs together
With his friends through a mic
As time ticks down faster than usual and
Eyelids get heavy from continuous hours
He calls it a night and lays down in bed
But something about the boy looking at the ceiling
Reflects, almost a perfect imitation
Of a flat screen displaying nothing at all
As he sits there, pondering thoughts in his head
The LEDs installed in the room flashing bright lights
Begins to die down
Disappearing into the darkness of the night
Just like a screen turning off
He drifts slowly to sleep
To repeat the days, again
And again.

Hello! Thanks for stopping by and maybe reading.
I am a Senior in Highschool just submitting a random poem that I thought off. Nothing too impressive in my opinion but its got some personal things in there.
Again, thank you for reading, and have a great rest of your day (>_<)
