Across the river
When you see me I’ll be across the river.
Where I’ll go
That part is unknown
But I’m across the river now
My back is turned against the boisterous waters
Across the river is tranquility
Across the river is the calm lands everyone hopes to grasp
Forget the town
Forget the roaring mind
Forget the abnormally large stone on my back
Forget pressures before I crossed the river
I am no longer wilting
Across the river keeps me warm
The water keeps me standing
I hope you can see me across the river
I hope you will see me bloom

As a teenager I’m in this weird place in life where I have an idea of who I want to be but I’m not sure if I’ll be able to bring my dreams to fruition. I may not know who I am right now or who I’ll be later on but somehow some way I’m going to be where I’m supposed to be.
