Time Goes On
Anonymous rumors flooded into her brain.
Executed with venom and envy.
That was plenty she thought often.
They speak of her name in vain.
Society shapes us into who we are.
She can see from afar the moon aside from a falling star.
Distant but close.
The broke shards that fell from the mirror filled that hole.
Betrayal is poison.
Destroying us.
Her mother needed time to stop ticking.
Just for a moment.
A moment of relief.
A moment to let go of grief.
Time continued on.
