The word love, how sweet the phrase may sound

The four-letter word that doesn't seem real

Something in this world I still haven't found

Hoping it will be something I can feel

Although to you it might seem like a dream

Love is something that has never been easy

It's not always easy as it may seem

To you, this poem might sound cheesy

Something that should cause laughter and cheer

Love, along with great sorrow and pain

It will only cause nothing but fear

There will be nothing else for you to gain

Love is something that has ups and downs

In time good things will come back around
