Pretty Pictures
They all wanted to take their pictures. They would travel across the world to see the most magnificent waterfall, the tallest mountain, or a luscious forest. They would not open their eyes to what was past their hotel or what was really in front of them. There were no pictures of the never-ending highway, smog engulfing the beautiful blue air, and the world of concrete. Their real world was not pretty enough. Instead, they lived in a bubble of blues and greens until they needed one more store or one more office building. And whether they realized it or not, soon, it would all be gray.
