The Sun
The sand burns beneath my feet,
As the sun beats down in tropical heat,
The waves crash and dance along the shore,
While I search for a place to cool off and explore
The heat is intense, it’s hard to breath,
Yet the warmth of the sand is just what I need,
I hear screams and laughter all around,
As we soak up the sun’s golden crown
A hot day at the beach may feel harsh,
But this is the time to shed our layers,
Where our worries fade away,
While the ocean serenades our soles

I am from the island of Guam and this is the best way I can describe a hot sunny day on the beach in a poem.
