Run Away!
Hi Mommmm!
I had so much fun in Miss W.’s class today.
We got to play run away from the bad guy.
I barely made it out the window unlike Tyler,
The bad guy got Tyler and then…and then,
Tyler lied on the floor pretending he got shot!
My whole class was laughing, it was so funny.
We also pretended that the attacker was at the door,
So I grab my pencil because that will stop the bad guy,
And some other kid had a textbook and scissors.
We also had a scenario where we were all at lunch,
And Mrs. V had closed her door before I got there,
So I lost that round.
She looked sad that she had closed the door on me.
But it's okay, I had fun.

I wrote this piece in my creative writing class. It is about the numbness kids have become to school shootings.
