Winter Days
The snow is falling like your love for me.
The trees are bare; the snow covers the ground.
Kids play in the snow like me with you, carefree.
Night falls, and children are asleep all around.
Sitting, I feel the cold of winter’s breath.
I begin to think of me and you again.
Your skin as pale as snow reminds me of death.
My heart will beat for you even then.
You are as cold as the snow on my toes,
But I cannot stop seeing you with me.
You pricked me and made me bleed, my rose.
I fell for you like the snow, cold and free.
As the morning sun comes out, the snow softens,
And I realize that I think of you often.
