Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening
His safe space
Rough days, Good days
Everyday he could count on the little forest at the edge of the neighborhood
A multitude of issues were sheltered by the trees there
It was his safe space, unscathed and protected but
Today- today was different
The pressure he felt was unrelenting
Snow was falling- It never snowed here
He rushed to the little forest at the edge of the neighborhood
His safe space
But today- today even the trees couldn’t protect him now
The flakes maneuvered past
The leaves as they bombarded him even
his safe space
wasn’t safe anymore
