She smiled at me - a grimace

And greeted me politely: as if she had never abandoned

As if she had never abandoned

Unhanded, demanded ... my Being

And she sat there and smiled at me - a grimace

My heart sky dived into a blizzard of black

A child screamed - pulsed - was she a trap?

Felt like falling

Crawling on an ocean

Of wasabi peas and memories

Anticipatory prophecies.

Was I wrong?

Defective?

Defective...

Defective.

Could I live

When we died

When I know that the trees that embrace the wicked wonder of me

Fall, felled, unable, repeating,

Unauthentically

The wicked wonder of me

I drowned - a salt water sabotage

A frightened child shows me a collage of trembles and fog

I was sinking and she smiles

And she smiled

And she smiled peacefully

And she smiled at me - a grimace
