Dreams Lost in Midnight's Grasp
In the dead of night,
A teen's sleep schedule strays far,
Lost in restless dreams.
Moon's gentle caress,
Entices with its silver light,
Yet slumber remains distant.
Digital temptations abound,
A flickering screen's hypnotic hold,
Pulls the weary mind into the abyss.
Books unread, homework undone,
Time slips away in endless scrolls,
As the night deepens, the burden grows.
Dark circles trace tired eyes,
Mornings bring regret and fatigue,
Yet the allure of night remains unbroken.
With each passing dawn, the cycle repeats,
A teen's body, yearning for rest,
Trapped in a rhythm of nocturnal rebellion.
Oh, elusive dreams, where art thou?
Seeking solace in the quiet night,
The teen battles the war against sleep.
But fear not, weary soul,
For balance can be found,
In the embrace of a bedtime routine.
Resisting the siren song of screens,
Creating a tranquil haven for slumber,
A path towards restorative rest.
So, dear teen, reclaim the night,
And let the stars guide you to tranquility,
For a rejuvenated dawn awaits.

I wrote this piece because it relates to me and how i have a bad sleep schedule. I thought other teens could relate to me and the haiku.
