Beach Day!
ocean boulevard
down by the beach
where the seashells are my neighbors
and the seagulls come down to watch
where you pay the marking in quarters
so you come with pockets-filled
and you tip-toe carefully
and imagine the sand is lava
where you run without endless bounds
like the beach will never end
and watch the kites soar
oh to have!
the ocean eyes and sandy hair
to be one with the ocean
where the families come to play

This poem I write reminds me of my childhood and the days there until the sun came down. I hope others can reminisce about their beach days or being one with the ocean even if you don't have blue eyes or sandy hair; I sure don't.
