The Lighthouse That Guides Me
Tossing and turning in my little boat was me, so afraid to look down at the seas.
The water itself so unfriendly, no place for a lost child like me.
I’ve tried and tried, time and time again, but the raging sea is too much for little me.
Gears turn inside my mind, a clock chimes, now is the time.
I look down at the sea as it rocks my little boat and me.
I step out onto the waves, the water is cold and dark beneath me.
I don’t sink, I keep my eyes on the lighthouse.
The lighthouse guides me.
I sometimes turn away and sink, still, the lighthouse guides me.
As I look towards it once again, I can now see my savior waiting for me.
No longer is my little boat so important to me, as I walk with Jesus on the crashing waves of the sea.
Now I can never get lost, with the lighthouse walking beside me.
All I have to do is trust and believe.
