Our weakest moments
The moment we’ve been knocked down,
Is the moment that counts.
And the moments we seem to have lost ourselves in life,
Is the moment that we’re found.
We can see the world much clearer,
When our eyes are filled with fiery tears.
We are thrown into life on each sickening turn and step,
Within each of us it grows deeper inside: emancipated fears.
We tell ourselves that we are afraid of the dark,
When in reality we are afraid of the lack of light.
And it’s a fear of falling,
When we say we are afraid of the Ferris wheel height.
The only reason we are sad,
Is because we have been happy before.
After all this we say the world’s an ugly place,
But maybe because we are seeing it from our door.
