blue, starry images
the art of writing is about not judging yourself
incompetent.
hopeless. grisaille
your eyes flutter asleep, shutters & closes.
tired & unable to continue
endless games of memorization
competition
watching her opened laptop & countless tabs
inches + centimeters
giving up/doll-like
you reached for the stars
but fell,
plunged through layers of disillusion,
& enchantments that hid away reality.
she carved out years of her life
a perfectly warped stature
to lose your own vision once you touched the reflection;
dreams evaporate when you lose heart
her life zeroed into
a crumbled base, lies,
water breaks when pressed upon.
water breaks when pressed upon.
dreams disappear when you see through them
mirrors shatter once-
only break when you touch the reflection
= pressing yourself against water
changing the image
you touch it, it breaks.
she touched the ground around her and opened her eyes
reality hurts
it made her blue
