I’m from family feud, watching from home

sitting on the floors as my grandma's sweet coffee churns

I’m from forever agony

will the lions be the same old lions

My life has been like shuffling a deck, a new day is never the same as the last

Feet shivering in the colorless snow, making an olaf of my own

I’m from the british accents to annoy the crowd

Evergoing pit in the converse

Stafford or Goff, old or new, past or present

I’m from earring dangling, ripping out of my ear

From the Bike who gave me my first scars

The aborted lion tattoo unescorted on my dads arm

I’m from the Buffalo Wild Wings party’s where it was never a mystery what I      ordered

Protecting my dog from the ravaging coyotes and the mystical deer

I’m from the sonic lemonade that always stayed in my system, so sweet but so sour

The pepsi i’ve been hooked on since birth

I’m from the family picnics at Belle Isle, the body filled water, dirty as can be

Spike, the dog I can never forgive, giving me one of my first scars that now seem to be fading away into just a memory

Music I could never connect to seems to bring people worry

I just want to be me

To be the kid who never took off her twinkle toes

To be free of the anxiety that has been building up inside of me
