the day our lips met

    The day our lips met.

It's a day to recall,

That almost made the stars to fall,

I lived for salt,

But offered sugar.

A decade of horror,

                    terror,

                     tumor,

He sprinkled,

Joy,

humor,

And laughter.

And when he came by,

The scent blew my fear away,

The touch diluted my pain,

Deep inside my ribs I felt relieved,

The clogged skin I felt it breathe.

         Opened my sight,

           Scripted my nights,

And when he lay the lips,

          On mine,

I felt energy transfer,

Painted my mind with new words,

My lips left trembling,

For minutes without breathing,

I never kissed him,

No, I didn't touch him!

It was the illusion of a poet,

      The dream to feel loved,

      Yearning for a soul mate,

Desire to appear in someone's metaphors,

The day our lips met,

It happened in the dream!
