A Dance With Shadows

In a dance with shadows, sorrow firmly grips

Submerged in tears, strength in her heart slips

Whispers of disdain echo in the silent air,

A relentless pain, heavy, beyond compare.

Alone, I stand, haunted by my imperfections,

Confronting thoughts that arise from introspection.

Mirrors, cruel canvases for distorted art,

For in this illusion, my soul is torn apart.

In my dreams, I envision girls who stroll with grace,

Their twirling hair, a captivating embrace.

As I pinch my skin,

Feeling thicker than thin

I hold my breath, stomach sucked in.

My mind is in a fog, low grumbles persist

Recollection eludes me, the last meal dismissed

I unveil the map to a healing journey,

discovering the origins of my reflection.

In the shadows' embrace, I twirl with grace,

A dance within, a reflection to trace.

My tears resemble a symphony of perfections

Whispers become echoes of self-love affection

Now I stand, proud and strong

My reflection, an enduring image, that will never fade.

Mirrors, once shattered by self-hate,

Now bound together by my compassionate embrace.

I hold the key,

Beauty blooms within, not just for all to see.
