Silent Crime
A dreadful fear,
A secret hidden in the night,
Under the moons glare,
Echoed a silent scream.
A girl running, footsteps pounding
Raindrops falling, lightning striking
Heavy breathes, back facing a tree,
a quiet atmosphere
Drip, Drop, Drip, Drop
a constant splash, a body above
hanging from the trees
Shaking, filled with fear
Stuttered phone call,
Sirens blaring, dogs barking
Yellow tape painted across
A chilling scene, a sudden sight
Clues so thin,
What a big sin
As you roam, be aware
Justice always finds its way home.
