A Renaissance of Canoe Cascade

This single moment has been ingrained in my memory since I was only 10 years old. It was a sunny day and I was at a gray lake house, which was the only house on the lake. I should take the canoe out. I paddled the canoe to the center of the lake and simply sat. For a minute I took in my surroundings, pondering why this place felt so familiar; yet, foreign at the same time. Then I tipped over in the canoe and slowly sank to the bottom of the lake with my hands upwards. Then black.  When I woke up I could not move. I felt a weight over my whole body that was bolted down. I wasn’t afraid; however I felt calm, at peace. To this day I don’t remember this as a bad dream but more as soothing. I will never forget this dream.
