the silence is thickening
the breeze began to hush
the birds stopped chittering
my words start to blush
i can hear your laugh
so vivid and clear
my chest feels so tough
when you are here
when you touch me
feel me
kiss me over there
i can smell the air sweetening
feel the thrill through my hair
the heavy aroma
that you carry in your bones
my body grips together
feeling things you shouldn’t know
my heart is pounding
singing
love songs in a tone
that says when we’re together
to never be alone
