The Words I Can't Say

Every day, from morning through the night

From hi, until goodbye,

There is a sentence, a phrase.

An idea

Of something I can never say.

To my dear mother,

 who I frequently quarrel with

And often push aside.

Despite everything said to you,

Or any time when I ignored you,

There are words I can’t say.

To my middle brother,

Who is so curious

always asking, wanting to learn more

Despite all my times of annoyance,

Just wishing you would go somewhere else,

To do something without me,

There are words I can’t say.

To my dependable father,

To whom I always go to speak with

To discuss the foundations of both cites

And societies,

To learn about the structures of computers,

There is one thing we never discuss,

The words I can’t say.

To my dearest friends,

Ones whom I cherish many memories,

Memories of overcoming the greatest of odds.

Memories creating a story book,

A book closing to the last chapter.

I wish to under the words I can’t say.

To my long lost, and youngest brother,

Gone too soon, but not forgotten.

While my memories are few.

And far between.

There is an urge I still feel,

7 years later

To say these words

The words I can’t say.

I love you.
