It was seventh grade, and even now the memories haven't fade

But now it is a world ago

“Hey, you look like Kenny”. Someone I didn't even know

I felt my face was weird

As if in that sentence it morphed

From something I didn't notice

To something I see in the mirror every day

All the comments came at me I was sad but stayed

On that day I wanted to move away or stay far away, perhaps Chicago

That day one kid, I think his name was Sid turned into a foe

Whenever I was at school I wish Kenny had disappeared

The kid's ego was the height of the moon but realistically he was a dwarf

I felt so weird, a nickname was seared and  I wanted to call POTUS

After one none of the comments were kept at bay

I searched for Kenny

A Down syndrome tiger held in captivity appeared on my screen

I stared and saw the realization, I wanted to take a shot of Henny

The distance between my eyes was like a misshapen bean, It took everything for me not to scream

For I realized they were right, even though it was quite the fright

And then I stayed up for the rest of the night
