But not like those in the media, movies, and magazines. 

More like the flowers that catch your eye on the side of the road, 

or the clouds that glide by of all shapes and sizes

your beauty paints this world such as the sunset paints the sky in vibrant hues of orange, pink, red, and purple,

Or as the leaves in the fall paint the ground in shades of gold, crimson, and amber, 

It reflects just as the sun glinting off water, or a stained glass window paine, 

or sounds such as a guttural laugh you’ll never hear again, birds chirping in the morning or the lubdub from the heart of someone you love.

you’re beautiful,

but not for the reasons this world thinks you should be, 

But for the ways that aren’t always recognized.
