My Love
The annoying squeaks of the board speak to me making it worth it,
The rolling sounds of the wheels, I can feel tickling me on my feet,
I lean a little too far and fall but I get back up.
Friends and skaters all gathered around watching and laughing, hyping each other up for different tricks,
the sun is shining with a slight breeze, the type of breeze that you can hear when it flys by,
BOOM! Someone falls but they get back up.
The smell of wax and the park make it feel like home the way I always make out where I am,
The smell of food and sweaty people which don't go together still always make skating worth it,
The big crowd of people watching, cheering on tricks making it easier to try new things to show off,
I fly out of a half pipe for their reaction and PHOOM! I broke my ankle from the fall,
But the skaters help me up.
It was worth it.

This piece is supposed to show how much I love skateboarding and how this sport not only teaches me new tricks but also teaches me how to always get back up. It also shows how the skateboarding community is not what everyone thinks. We are a big family that helps each other no matter how good we are.
