Lavish homes

Lights all around

No matter the night or day

The houses are always seen

Spotlights

I pass by them every night

Fairy lights

Automatic lights

Always lit

Always seen

Always there

So large in the day you can’t miss it

So bright at night that you have to see it

Who lives there

How do they feel

Proud?

Lavish and seen

I see them every night on my way home

To my dark

Barly lit street

This poem is about driving through neighborhoods with big houses. There is a street that I pass every day I work to get home. The city is known for having wealthy residents. Every day riding through these neighborhoods I notice the houses and how bright they are, even though there are no street lights, and without the spotlight the neighborhood would be otherwise dark. In the daytime the houses are so big you have to look, and at night so bright you have to see them.
