Lakes
Little waves rippling on the surface
Each one has its own purpose
They work together to make art
Before they begin to spread apart
The fish dwell at the bottom
Filled with leaves in the autumn
Acorns falling into the water
Many wish they could stay longer
The cabins around the shore
The stomach full from a S’more
The rattling of a lure
Helps make the day more pure
The cries of a loon
Looking for food under the moon
The cool sand under your feet
These are what make a lake complete
