Don't cut corners, cut edges.

It may seem dumb, but don’t oversell something. Instead of making something bad by cutting corners, cut edges by removing that problem entirely. The edge can be added on later, but don’t cut so many edges that the rectangle becomes a barcode. Don’t make promises and not fulfill them all the way. Don’t make that promise, and try developing from it. Sure, you may need something to add onto it to hold all of it together, and it may not be the best, but it can develop over time.
