If the pen is stronger than the sword, what am I supposed to do when the pen declares a war?

I don’t know how to write this to you

I don’t know how you’ll react to this, too

I am afraid you won’t be OK with this

If you leave, it will be you that I miss

We've shared so many memories, good and bad

But my love for you has never wavered, never been sad

I know this may come as a surprise to you

But my heart beats for you, that much is true

I wish I could say these words to your face

But fear grips me, leaving my heart to race

Please don't let this revelation tear us apart

Let's hold onto each other, and make a fresh start

But you and I are the same when it comes to our gender

And I know your taste in those the same is less than tender

But even though I’ve been hiding this for so long

I believe the words I write today are strong

I know that you may not understand

But my feelings for you are pure and grand

Until then, I'll keep these feelings hidden away

And cherish the memories we've made day by day

But if the time comes, and you feel the same

Know that my heart will always be yours to claim

This is a poem I found while cleaning my room, a poem to a girl that I still have a crush on currently. I still haven't told her about it yet though. I don't think she'd react well. :(
