ME.
Wondering down these halls listening to music,
Staring at the ground hopefully someone will listen.
Sitting in silence recognizing
What's real and fake.
Realizing everyone is fake.
Everyones a critic,
All they do is mimic .
No ones real
None of them can feel.
Putting on a disguise
This will be my demise.
Being someone else is common
This will be a lesson.
I'm at peace when i'm alone
There's no one to condone
They think it's sad
But they could never understand
I can't wait to leave
So I can build
Rebuild who I once was.
The old me.
Be true not only to the people around you
But YOU as well.

I'm a senior in high school and this poem is about how through out most of my high school career I wasn't myself because I changed so I could be considered normal and that change ruined everything for me I didn't feel like myself at all.
