Unbeing

Sleeping talking in aggression

Positive as fire

Come stay, go away

Thinking beat, ticking time bomb

Highway of thoughts, always racing

Why, Why, When, Where

I don’t care

You’re necessary, I’m not

Emptiness, bottom of the cup

Shapeshift, makeshift

Who am I?

Butterflies of blue pain replace,

Moths of Pink love

Becoming you, unbeing me

Borrowed my smile

Returned hurt

Yesterday some supposed self

Night falls, I feel real

Lost in the dimension of life

Wish I could sunshine and rainbow

Miss the home of giggles

I'm a senior in high school. I have always loved poetry specifically reading it, this year my English teacher gave us this assignment and I feel like I could truly be creative within this prompt. I hope you enjoy.
