She was just a little girl,

A young girl with no intention to harm anyone.

A little young girl with the future ahead of her.

They say family is everything,

Until something happens.

She was wearing her favorite pajamas.

On that night.

They became the monster,

She begged and pleaded,

She was only a child.

Her body trembling, her eyes glued shut.

She layed in the bed her mom used to tuck her in,

The bed she’d read her stories,

And check for monsters.

But the monster now sat with her,

In the bed she had lost her innocence,

It was stolen,

Over and over again.

She stayed silent.

She was scared.

She was uncomfortable.

They didn’t listen.

They didn’t stop.

Now she’s scared,

And will never be the same.

It still haunts her till this day.

But not just in her dreams.

Each time she shuts her eyes,

The flashes of dark silhouette come back,

And she feels their weight.

It's painful, their entire weight pressed against her.

She became still.

She became their object.

I will never be able to forget

All of the repulsive things you did to me.

I can’t shake them.

I can’t erase them.

They will forever be with me, in the back of my

Head.
