Restraint

From you, I explode.

Our talks cause my soul to implode,

But no talks, and my mind races With no destination to devote.

About to burst, but lack another soul to tell it to.

Two of us, my love for you quickly grew,

Two days to know my love was true.

Two days to plan all the way to kids,

A fool with vivid dreams behind closed eyelids.

A fool, thinking about grandkids.

To an excess, you filled my void,

Spilled a fear I tried to avoid,

The fear that our love will be lost in a mere Polaroid.

I aimed to be a man of stature, bold and free,

Not swayed by an emotional symphony,

Yet here I am, a frenzied sea, lacking harmony.

Am I feeling anger, sadness, or joy?

Since when is my mind a woman's puppet toy?

What wiles could my love employ?
