Birds chirp on the carved out stone

A name forgotten by time, thorny vines curling on its cracks

A body no longer there, flesh long ago clinging to the soil

Lush green leaves spring, vibrantly painted by rays high above

Next to the stone, it is fresh in contrast of the crude stinging smell

Born from the soil of fleshy roots of someone once there

Life blooms upon the stone

Stems and plants greedily hanging onto the mother stone

Disfigured flesh and soil sprouting the soft wails of life

A crunch, strong steps stepping into the birthing pool

Wind howls, the small stem swaying feverishly

Warm tanned hands reach upon it below, damp soil intertwining with other life

The newborn cries, waving soft veiny green leaves

It does not wish to leave the comfort of the womb

Where death rests, life blooms
