That Storm
Tidal waves crashing onto rock-laden beaches—
Breaking on jagged rocks—
Exploding into drenching fireworks
To shower coarse sands.
Rushing storm clouds rolling into clear blue skies—
Darkening miles of land—
Colliding angrily into each other
Producing bone-chilling thunder.
Wild winds whipping through dieing forests—
Snapping weak limbs—
Ripping apart browned leaves
To blanket the cold dirt.
I feel that storm in my love-drunk heart.
But we are the rainbow.
