Like a Little Child
Like a little child,
I only see the innocence of the world.
Poverty and pain is beyond the spectrum of my rose-colored glasses.
My hand reaches out, but no one is there to grab it.
Like a little child,
I dare to dream, no matter how far the moon may seem.
Either way, I must land on a star.
My sweet dreams of the future, filter out reality.
Like a little child,
The world is my playground.
