Our town didn't lure you
with our safety and care
and of course the jobs
If Only...
You were more quiet
didn't haveyour charm
and made friends
when you met them
If Only...
You were not so special,
that even God got greedy
wanting you before we let go
If Only...
The road was never there
the tree was never planted
she never got a car
you never made friends so fast
you didn't live in their neighborhood
If only you weren't in that car.
