Open Doors
I walk through these open doors
Not knowing what lies before me
Is it good
Or is it bad
Inside the first
There is only bad
A pain so strong
It makes me ache
All the sorrow
Of a lifetime
As if frozen into eternity
I walk and walk
To get to the next door
Hoping for good
To be free of the pain
I make it to the door
For I can no longer stand the pain
I open the door
And stumble through
Instantly I feel lifted
I no longer cry out
For there is no pain
There is only joy
And what is to come
I forgot all the problems
I feel renewed
I turn around
And slam the door shut
Never to walk through again
