Oh Say Can You See?

Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
what so proudly we blew up gleaming?
Who we killed at a pointless fight,
or the peace we were dreaming?
And the fire's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof to the night that the prejudice was still there.
Oh, say does that unfair banner yet wave
o'er the land of the "equality" and the home of the slaves!

On the floor, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where our proud host in dead silence closes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows up, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the bomb's first beam,
In full gory reflected now dies in the stream;
Oh, say does that unmerited banner yet wave
o’er the land of the "equality" and the home of the slaves!

And where is the quality we swore
because separation brings confusion,
Freedom is what is no more!
Blood of the bigot's is like musty pollution.
Nobody could save, those people, no slaves
From the terror of a fight, or the gloom of the grave:
Oh, say does that inequitable banner yet wave
O'er the land of the "equality" and the home of the slaves!

Oh! thus be it never, when free men shall stand
between their beloved culture and country’s desolation!
Blest with not much, may the dark and misty land
praise the people of such a narrow-minded nation.
We are hypocrites to judge, and just, that this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
Oh, say does that unjust banner yet wave
o'er the land of the "equality" and the home of the slaves!

My poem is kind of depicting how pointless slavery and war was/is.
