Velvet Heart
Words, words that could never be said the same.
Beats that could never have the same melody that placed unity.
Relationships with the love and hate.
Boyfriends, Girlfriends, Best Friends.
Knowing when you’re in love when the words “I Love You” hit you straight through your un-arrhythmic heart;
Knowing when those three words make your heart beat in a velvet passion only yours together can mend.
Realizing the hate when they tell you the good-byes;
Telling you always the right words always at the right moments;
Moments which, this eventually turned into lies.
Realizing those two words coming out that you never wanted to hear;
Placing your hand over your heart as they walk away and noticing something different;
Something you never felt;
The something of your heart losing the velvet tone once created in harmony in a beat that could never be retained as it once was before.
Noticing the breathing you once had completely lost and never caught back.
