Forgotten You
I thought I knew you once
I thought I understood the
way your mind worked
but I just can’t seem to
figure out
just exactly who you are
haven’t seen you in ages
we've drifted apart
I suppose
the way all friends do
and after all this time
there are still
questions left unanswered
promises that were never kept
and stories that were never told
I guess I really don’t know you at all
I guess I never will
I thought I knew you
inside and out
But now…
I just don’t know anymore.
