Jasmine
I’ve been alone in the dark.
Three years alone,
in the dark.
My only friend is my soft purr.
Waiting,
Waiting,
Waiting,
Then the people came,
They gave me a home,
They gave me a name.
No longer shall I
Be in the dark
I have a new friend
I will be the best cat until the end,
To thank the people,
Who released me from the dark.
I am no longer waiting in the dark,
But in the sill of my sunny window.
With my new family
Who call me,
Jasmine.
