Shadows
Liars.
They tell us
We’re tall,
Strong and capable.
They whisper
This is you
But twist our truth
To fit the mouth of a
Liar.
Beasts.
They send us nightmares;
Cast death
On our future.
And our walls? They protest
For who wants to house such
Beasts?
Thieves.
Hiding our desires
Our dearest possessions
Their dark hidden fingers mess with our mind
Until we turn our backs on what we want most.
We never go back,
And it’s lost in the dark.
Liars.
Beasts.
Theives.
Shadows.
